Railway cable assemblies

Railway market requirements are very demanding, their main concern being passenger security. Several standards exist which regulate flame, smoke and toxicity emitted by cables or any flammable element on a rolling stock.

On the other hand, the extreme environments to which products are exposed (vibration, temperature changes, humidity, etc.) require that all elements are robust enough to withstand these situations.

The jumper-feeder-jumper principle

The ideal connections between antennas and RF components involve our halogen-free, RoHS compliant cables, which meet CEN/TS 45545-2 and/or DIN 5510-2 fire safety standards.

The jumper–feeder–jumper cable combination makes optimum use of the specific flexibility and attenuation properties of both types of cable.

Jumper cables

Thin, flexible cables which can be used for narrow radiuses but which feature a higher level of attenuation. Ideally suitable for connecting antennas or components.

Feeder cables

Low-loss cables for covering larger distances.
