0.1dB assemblies have max. losses lower than the accuracy of todays field measurements: Measurement equipment (power meter /OTDR) and measurement set-up, reference cables and adapters, environmental conditions and dirt easily cause measurement uncertainities of >0.2dB. Reliable and reproducible measurements below 0.1dB are possible only under laboratory conditions.
